All about twin cedars

My name is Gavin Kemper, I started Twin Cedars and have managed it since the beginning. As a native to Southeast Missouri, I have a friendly, hometown approach and the knowledge to handle any situation with a commercial business mindset. I started my career after high school in the timber industry, which I love and still do, but I quickly dove into industrial construction because I saw the opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Some of my jobs in that first decade of work were in steel mills located in Ohio and Pennsylvania working as a welder during shutdowns. Since then, I have worked on large excavation projects, such as rebuilding Highway 60 with McAninch Excavation, and an expansion at Gallatin Steel in Ghent Kentucky. About 8 years ago, I spent some time working in St. Louis for one of the largest flatwork contractors in the city and then built fracking plant facilities in East Texas. From these experiences, I’ve learned a wealth of well-rounded knowledge as to how to handle any job site and any situation that comes about on these sites.

For many years, I operated my business part-time while working these jobs, until I landed several large commercial powerline clearance projects. That’s when Twin Cedars really took off. As a husband and father of three daughters, Southeast Missouri is home and where I want to be. Applying the diversified knowledge and skills I’ve gained through the years to Twin Cedars is what I believe has made us successful and the best choice for any customer.
